His Grace Bishop Kurt

Founded in 1954, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church is a parish of the Eparchy of Passaic. We are also part of the Byzantine Catholic (Ruthenian) Metropolitan Church, the only Eastern Catholic Metropolitan Church sui iuris (self-governing) in the United States.

Following the Constantinopolitan Tradition of the Catholic Church and led by His Grace Bishop Kurt R. Burnette, Eparch of Passaic, we are in full communion with the Church of Rome led by His Holiness, Pope Francis.

As we strive to grow in spirit and fellowship in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we are especially grateful to His Grace Bishop Kurt for his prayers and continued generous support of our parish.

Filipovka Begins 11/15/20!!
The Philip’s Fast, or Filipovka, begins today. This is a
penitential season of increased prayer, fasting, and alms
giving. While participation in this Fast is voluntary, any
increased effort in these areas is certainly laudable.
Filipovka runs from Nov. 15th through Dec. 24th. If you
have health concerns about fasting, please see father
Paul as he can give you an alternate penance.

Online Advent Mini-Retreat
December 4-6, 2020, Springs in the Desert will be hosting a FREE virtual mini-retreat for couples struggling with infertility. This Advent-centered mini-retreat will help couples navigate their relationships with Christ, and each other, during what can be a difficult time of the year, and
will culminate with a Facebook Live panel discussion on December 6 @ 2pm EST. Registration is FREE and can be completed at https://springsinthedesert.org/. Fr. Paul is one of the featured speakers and will close the mini- retreat with a prayer for and blessing of couples.

United Way
This year, OLPH will once again be participating in the United Way of Bucks County’s Holiday Gift Card Drive as our parish tithe for Filipovka. This is a fund drive that focuses primarily on Teens and Families. Often at the holidays, it is the younger children who often receive most of the focus of fund drives, leaving teenage children not only feeling somewhat forgotten, but still in need after the holidays have passed. The United Way
sponsors this project that focuses primarily on Teens to ensure that ALL are cared for during the lean winter months.

The program runs till DECEMBER 18, 2020. You can find out more at the United Way Website, as well as donate right there from the comfort and safety of your home, no need to go ANYWHERE!!!
