His Grace Bishop Kurt

Founded in 1954, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church is a parish of the Eparchy of Passaic. We are also part of the Byzantine Catholic (Ruthenian) Metropolitan Church, the only Eastern Catholic Metropolitan Church sui iuris (self-governing) in the United States.

Following the Constantinopolitan Tradition of the Catholic Church and led by His Grace Bishop Kurt R. Burnette, Eparch of Passaic, we are in full communion with the Church of Rome led by His Holiness, Pope Francis.

As we strive to grow in spirit and fellowship in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we are especially grateful to His Grace Bishop Kurt for his prayers and continued generous support of our parish.

Saturday Evening Divine Liturgy We are pleased to announce that, thanks to the amount of responses to our recent survey and, more importantly to YOUR extreme willingness to volunteer to make this happen, we will indeed be able to make the addition of a Saturday Vigil Divine Liturgy possible!!! Beginning Saturday, October 10, 2020, 5pm Vigil Divine Liturgy will be added to our ever-growing liturgical schedule. We are only able to do this because of YOUR hard work in maintaining COVID-19 preventative measures and because of YOUR willingness to work for what you believe is best for YOUR parish. I am very pleased that this is the case. Keep up the good work for OLPH and for Christ’s Church on earth. Please feel free to contact Fr. Paul with any questions or concerns.

Call for Altar Servers
Fr. Paul will be holding an orientation for Altar Servers
on Sunday, October 18, 2020. If there are any boys in
the parish, age 8 and older, who are interested or even
may be a little interested in serving at the Holy Table,
they are encouraged to attend along with their
parent(s)/guardian. Adult men are welcomed to attend
this orientation as well. This orientation will address
what it takes to be an Altar Server and the great
blessing it is to serve. We will also discuss how we can
still serve the Holy Table and be safe during this time of
COVID-19. Please contact Fr. Paul with any questions or
if you know of someone who may be interested.

Call for Lectors and Psalm Chanters
Fr. Paul is looking for a few good people to help make
our liturgy even more beautiful than it already is. If you
or someone you know is interested in becoming a
Parish Lector and chant the Epistle and Verses at Divine
Liturgy, please see Fr Paul after Divine Liturgy or contact
him directly. We are also looking for volunteers to chant a few
Psalms prior to the beginning of Divine Liturgy. Please
see Fr. Paul for details.
